Information we collect
When you use our website, we automatically collect technical and usage information: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you arrived at our site, and how you interact with it. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
When you contact us or complete a form on our site, we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, email address, phone number, and any details you choose to share about the services you are interested in.
When you book an appointment, you are directed to our booking portal, which is operated by our salon software provider, Phorest. There you may create an account and provide your name, email address, phone number, appointment preferences, and payment information in order to pay the required deposit. Payment card details are handled by Phorest and its payment processors; we do not store full card numbers.
When you visit the salon, we keep service records, appointment history, product purchases, and notes needed to provide your services well.
How we use your information
We use your information to book, confirm, change, and remind you about appointments; to take deposits and process payments; to provide the services you request; to respond to your questions; to send you offers and salon news if you have asked to receive them; to operate, secure, and improve our website; and to measure and improve our advertising.
Advertising and analytics — who we share your data with
We advertise our salon online and we measure whether that advertising works. To do this we share information with the advertising and analytics companies listed below, and we allow them to place cookies and similar technologies on your device.
Google. We use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads. These services collect information about how you found and used our website and whether your visit led to an appointment inquiry, a phone call, or a booking. Google may use this information to show you our ads on Google Search, YouTube, and partner websites, and to measure the performance of those ads.
We may also share a limited set of customer information with Google specifically to measure advertising results — for example, that a booking of a certain value occurred on a certain date. When we do this, contact details such as your email address are converted into a scrambled, irreversible code (a cryptographic hash) before they are sent. Google uses that code only to determine whether the booking can be matched to an earlier ad click, and discards codes that do not match. We do not send Google your name, phone number, appointment details, service notes, or payment information for this purpose.
Showing ads to current and former clients. We may also share a limited set of contact details — your email address and mobile number — with Google so that we can show our ads to people who are clients of the salon or have been in the past. As with the measurement described above, these details are converted into a scrambled, irreversible code (a cryptographic hash) before they are sent, and we do not send Google your name, appointment details, service notes, or payment information for this purpose. Google compares that code against its own signed-in users so that our ads can be shown to you on Google Search. Under Google’s Customer Match policies, the details are used only to match you to Google accounts and are not shared with other advertisers.
We keep these advertising audiences current, which means details are added and removed as clients visit us. If you would rather not be included, you can opt out of personalized Google advertising using the links below, unsubscribe from our marketing at any time, or ask us to remove your details from our advertising audiences using the contact details at the top of this policy. We will act on that request at our next monthly update.
You can review how Google handles data at Google’s partner sites policy, opt out of personalized Google advertising at My Ad Center, and opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google’s browser add-on.
Meta (Facebook and Instagram). We use the Meta pixel to measure the performance of our social media advertising and to show our ads to people who have visited our site. You can read Meta’s privacy policy, and you can manage your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.
Phorest. Our salon software provider processes your booking, account, and payment information in order to provide the booking service to us.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your service notes, appointment details, or payment information with advertising companies.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a sale or transfer of the business.
Cookies and your choices
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to make the site work, to remember your preferences, to understand how the site is used, and for advertising as described above.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Most browsers also offer a “do not track” setting. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work. You can also use the Google and Meta opt-outs linked above to limit advertising personalization specifically.
How long we keep your information
We keep client and appointment records for as long as you are a client and afterward for as long as needed for our legitimate business, accounting, tax, and legal purposes. Website analytics and advertising data are retained according to the settings of the services described above, currently up to 14 months.
Your rights
You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, to delete it, or to stop sending you marketing messages. To make a request, contact us using the details at the top of this policy. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Some information must be retained for legal or accounting reasons.
If you receive marketing emails or texts from us, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link or instructions in the message.
Children
Our website and online booking are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Minors receiving salon services should be accompanied by a parent or guardian who provides any required information.
Third-party links and embedded content
Our site may link to or embed content from other websites, such as videos or maps. Those sites collect and use information according to their own privacy policies, not this one.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be posted on this page.
